Ellen interviews often follow big career moments, and it's been a banner second half of 2016 for Glover so far. Atlanta—which Glover created, directs, writes, and stars in—was recently picked up for a second season and has been met with pretty universal acclaim from both fans and critics. Speaking on the series, Glover told Ellen, "I just wanted to make Twin Peaks with rappers."

Of his casting in the Star Wars vehicle, he says he's "honored" to take on the role, and talks about trying to live up to his mom's expectations, given the fact that she's a big Billy Dee Williams fan. Watch a short clip from the interview above.
