Erykah Badu was a guest on Ebro In The Morning yesterday, November 23. She spoke with the team about her earliest days in music, as well as her life away from that world where she acts as a doula, and how she spoke to her younger children about Donald Trump's election as President.

Badu praised D.R.A.M., with whom she recently worked, and described him as "the love child of Ol' Dirty Bastard, George Clinton, and D'Angelo."

The subject of Kanye West and his recent hospitalization also came up, to which she said she hadn't been aware of his situation but explained how much she loves him. "I love his courage. He's trying to express who he is as a human being and when it becomes difficult for people to understand you it really hurts an artist," she said. Someone who only wants to give. I would encourage everyone to send him some energy and light."
