Adele has spent well over a year touring in support of her 25 album, released in 2015, performing across Europe, North America, and in other corners of the globe. To close out the tour, the singer is performing four shows in London, and she offered a handwritten note to fans about her future as a touring artist on the back of the concert program.

"After 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end," Adele wrote. "Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn't suit me particularly well... I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don't know if I'll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home."

A representative for Adele was not immediately available for comment.
