Adele posted a heartfelt letter to her fans via Instagram, explaining her recent announcement of cancelled concerts. In the letter, she describes how her vocal cords have reached a level of damage that has left her unable to perform.
"I have done 121 shows and have two left," wrote Adele. "2 left!!! And they are gigantic shows!!"
Adele continued to express her dismay and disbelief about having to postpone her final two shows, and expressed ample apologies to her fans.
Earlier in the week she announced that the tour supporting her album 25 would most likely be her last, and that her final four shows in London would be particularly important to her. But due to the complications she describes in her Instagram post, the final two shows are put on hold as she attempts to recover her vocal cords.
