Google celebrates Selena’s 1989 debut album with a new Doodle

The Mexican-American singer’s self-titled album turns 28 on October 17.

Google has honored Selena on the anniversary of her self-titled debut album, released today (October 17) in 1989. The tech giants have worked with Selena's family to create a bespoke Doodle that celebrates the late singer's life and music. The video above shows the Doodle, which features her song “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” from the album. Billboard notes that Google and Selena's relatives worked for two years on the tribute. Google has also shared a digital exhibit in collaboration with the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi, Texas.
