Meek Mill is filing a motion seeking release from his two to four year prison sentence and the immediate termination of his probation, Mill's lawyer has confirmed to Billboard. The rapper is also requesting the recusal of Judge Genece Brinkley, who sentenced him for probation violations and is reportedly being investigated by the FBI.

Last week, Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina told The FADER of the rapper's plan to recuse Judge Genece Brinkley from the upcoming appeal. Following Meek Mill's sentence, Tacopina accused Brinkley of requesting that Meek Mill remake a Boyz II Men song with a personal shoutout and allegedly suggested that the rapper leave Roc Nation to sign with her friend's management company.

On Monday thousands of people attended a rally in Philadelphia in protest at the sentence. The hip-hop world, including JAY-Z, have all united behind the cause too.
