The first performers at next year's Brit Awards have been confirmed. All four artists are British, with Stormzy making his solo debut as a performer at the ceremony. He appeared alongside Ed Sheeran at the 2017 ceremony. Sheeran, too, will return in 2018 with his own solo performance.

Joining them on the initial line-up are Sam Smith and Dua Lipa. More artists are due to be confirmed in the run-up to the ceremony, which takes place at London's O2 Arena on February 21 next year. The nominations for the 2018 awards will be announced on January 13. Earlier this month Jorja Smith was named the Brits Critics Choice winner.
