Childish Gambino was the headliner of London's Lovebox festival on Saturday, July 14. Donald Glover topped a bill including N.E.R.D and The Internet at the festival and performed new songs "Summertime Magic" and "Feels Like Summer" in his hour long set. Addressing the London audience, Donald Glover explained how he lived in the city for a year in 2017 while shooting Solo: A Star Wars Story and how "that shit changed my life."

He also spoke between songs about the recent anti-Trump protests in the city, saying "I saw your balloon. That shit made me proud. We have to stick together because we’re stronger together. I want you guys to know that."

Glover largely let the music do the talking for him with a set leaning heavily on 2016 album Awaken, My Love! including "Redbone" and opener "Me and Your Mama." He also revisited fan favorites "3005" and "Sober" before ending with "This Is America," bringing out London-based choreographer Sherrie Silver to recreate the trademark dance moves that go with the viral smash.
