Next month, on September 7, Johnny Depp's new film City of Lies was due to hit theaters. The Brad Furman-directed movie stars Depp and Forest Whitaker as an LAPD detective and journalist investigating the murder of Biggie Smalls. However, Global Road Entertainment has just pulled the film from its upcoming release schedule, Variety reports. The decision comes a month after Depp was sued by the film's location manager, Greg Brooks, for assault.
