Kanye West is apparently "serious" about his presidential run, according to a new interview with John Legend, who was a recent guest on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast. “I think he’s serious. I’d guess he’d run as an independent, but he’s never told me anything about what party he "would run from," he said. |But he’s said multiple times that he’s interested in running for president.”
Legend also addresses West's hotly contested appreciation for Donald Trump. "I think he sees some aspects of himself in Trump and sees that Trump winning makes it feel like he could do it too,” he explained. “I think it’s pretty overwhelming from the perspective of African Americans – we believe [Trump]’s a racist, we believe he’s not a good human being.”
West himself hopped on Twitter today to tweet "2024" again, a sort of update to his since-deleted tweet with mockup campaign posters.
