Missy Elliott, Ciara, and Dua Lipa will perform at American Music Awards

Joining Cardi B, and Mariah Carey among others.

More names of artists who will take the stage at this year's American Music Awards were announced on Friday: Ciara, Missy Elliott and Dua Lipa have all been added to the bill. The new names will follow a list of star-studded musicians who will perform during the evening, including Cardi, B, Khalid, and Mariah Carey.

Gladys Knight will also perform a tribute to the late soul icon Aretha Franklin, who passed away last month at age 76. The American Music Awards kicks off on October 9 at 8 p.m EST on ABC.
