Lil Gotit’s “Drip Here” knocks like crazy

“The fucking drip lasts for a long ass time.”

Lil Gotit’s a young, rising rap talent out of Atlanta, and brother and regular collaborator of fellow new and popping Atlanta rap voice Lil Keed. Gotit, who refers to himself as Hood Baby, has dropped a few bangers this year, like September’s playful and actually crazy “Loco.” Most recently, Gotit appeared alongside Keed and Lil Uzi Vert on the latter’s new loosie “Heavy Metal.”

Today, Gotit’s sharing his new song, “Drip Here,” featuring Slimelife Shawty. The song sounds almost sinister in how luxe it is, Gotit and Slimelife going back to back over a dark piano-based beat that sounds straight out of the opening theme of a drama-drenched day-time soap. In his delivery, it's clear he's influenced by hometown stars like Young Thug and Gunna, but with each song you can hear him slicing out his own sonic lane.

“The fucking drip lasts for a long ass time,” Gotit shared of the song over email. “If you need this drip, come to the Hood Baby. That’s what inspired the record. The project is a new beginning to a new society, ya dig? It’s a Hood Baby world, and they’re gonna learn one day.” Listen to “Drip Here” above, and look out for more from Lil Gotit.
