Pusha-T is doing the media rounds after receiving a Best Rap Album nomination at the 2019 Grammys for DAYTONA, and stopped by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to discuss the project, the Drake beef, and Kanye West's support for President Donald Trump.

At 9:18 in the video above, Noah and Pusha-T dice into Kanye West's affinity for the Make America Great Again hat. Noah brings up a previous quote for Pusha's comparing it to the Ku Klux Klan hood, and mentions how Kanye "wears that hat with pride." Pusha immediately corrects Noah: "He doesn't anymore. He stopped."

Pusha then hints that the subject of Kanye's Trump support was a touchy subject during the making of DAYTONA. "Can you imagine having those conversations while he's trying to make my album?" "He basically has his life in my palm and I have to tell him I hate something?"

Kanye West shocked and disappointed many this year with his embrace of President Donald Trump. He renounced politics this year after claiming he was "used to spread messages I don't believe in."
