In a statement to TMZ, the Paris prosecutor's office said that despite Brown's release, the allegations will continue to be investigated. "The investigations, which are not closed at this stage, will continue under the authority of the Paris prosecutor's office."

The accuser filed a complaint on Monday reportedly claiming to have been assaulted by Brown on January 15 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris. Brown strongly denied the allegations in an Instagram posted soon after his reported release. He called them "SO DISPRESPECTFUL [sic] AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!"
