Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst share Better Oblivion Community Center video for “Dylan Thomas”

The duo surprise-release their collaborative album last week, and will soon head out on tour.

January 29, 2019

Better Oblivion Community Center is the duo of FADER cover star Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes, who shook up the folk-rock world last week with their surprise-released and very excellent LP, also titled Better Community Oblivion Center. If that name sounds a bit cult-y to you, the band apparently agrees, judging from its depiction of the titular Center in the video for "Dylan Thomas." Bridges and Oberst follow a flier into a house with spooky vibe thanks to its candles, guitar-shredding angel, blindfolded VR subjects, and a tweaked-out scientist monitoring it all. Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast (also a FADER cover star) directs.
