Following a lengthy bidding war, Billboard reports that Cuco has signed with Interscope. The seven figure deal will kick off with the release of his forthcoming debut album, which is set for release in June. "Interscope understood what I wanted to do creatively and it wasn't just about money," Cuco told the publication. "I got everything I wanted."
The terms of signing specify that the 20-year-old Chicano artist will own all of his masters, and will be distributed via Universal Music Latin Entertainment throughout Latin America. Last year, The FADER followed Cuco through his hometown of Hawthorne, CA for a short documentary on the roots of his burgeoning career. Watch that here, and stay tuned for Cuco's debut.
