Apple Music users can stream songs and albums via their web browser today as the tech giant tests a beta version on the web. TechCrunch and The Verge report as of Friday, September 6, visitors can sign into beta.music.apple.com using their Apple ID and access their Apple Music account. This public beta marks the first time Apple Music has been available outside of its corresponding app or iTunes.

The web browser includes access to public and private playlists, as well as the ability to search songs from the Apple Music catalog. Additional features will be rolled out as the browser is developed. Apple is requesting user feedback during the beta process as it attempts to open its platform in new ways.

At WWDC 2019 in June, Apple announced plans to dismantle iTunes on the Mac after an 18 year run and focus on Apple Music as a standalone app.
