Listen to Open Mike Eagle’s new song “The Edge of New Clothes”

Open Mike Eagle has a new single out today, his second in as many months. "The Edge of New Clothes," streaming below, is Mike Eagle in his element — "A humanist, but I don't like new people very much," he raps at the top over a borderline-atonal beat. The track is taken from a forthcoming compilation, put together by The Needle Drop's Anthony Fantano, in aid of The Immigrant Legal Resource Center. The comp will also feature Xui Xui, Zeal & Ardor, Mark Kozelek, Iglooghost, and Oxbow.

"The Edge of New Clothes" follows "Whiskey & Push-Ups," which came out last month. That came after the first season of Eagle's TV show alongside Baron Vaughn, The New Negroes, drew to a close.
