Watch Vagabon’s striking new video for “Water Me Down”

Vagabon is out October 18.

September 16, 2019

We're just a month away from Vagabon's sophomore album Vagabon (formerly titled All The Women In Me). Lætitia Tamko has shared two promising tracks from the project thus far, the soaring lead single "Flood Hands" and the more entrenched "Water Me Down." Today, she's revealing the video for the latter, a Maegan Houang-directed clip that depicts Tamko dancing as a means of liberation amid surges of blue and orange light.

"With the 'Water Me Down' video, I knew I wanted to make a visual with striking vignettes," Tamko wrote in a statement. "I wanted the colors to reflect those that illuminate my album cover, I worked with film again, as I have with all my videos so far, this time we went with 16mm. And I wanted to flex a muscle I haven’t shared yet, dancing. Derek Nemecheck, my choreographer, and I worked together on movement. We never strayed from the dancing that felt natural in my body and it was so rewarding. Director Maegan Houang executed these ideas beautifully."
