Kanye West has revealed a new release date for his Jesus Is King album. The rapper tweeted on Sunday that he will release the record on Friday, October 25. This date coincides with the release of a documentary film charting the recording of the album in IMAX cinemas.
Jesus Is King was first scheduled for release on September 27. That date was pushed back by two days but the album remained unreleased. West held listening sessions for the album and has continued to host his Sunday Services in the interim period. The most recent Sunday Service took place in Kingston, Jamaica this past weekend.
In the gap between Kanye's original release date and now another unreleased album of his, Yandhi, emerged on iTunes as a series of ringtones. The album was subsequently removed from the service.
