Nicki Minaj announces marriage to Kenneth “Zoo” Petty

Nicki Minaj is a married woman. The rapper announced her nuptials to boyfriend Kenneth ’Zoo’ Petty late Monday evening on Instagram — the post contains baseball caps with the words "Bride" and "Groom," and matching "Mr" and "Mrs" mugs, and is captioned "Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19." In September, Minaj announced her intention to retire from rap music and start a family. "To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me," she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

When asked by The Shade Room about whether or or not she's actually quitting music, Minaj didn't offer much clarity: “When I posted that retirement tweet, I knew that I still had music that I already had recorded that was still gonna come out, so the retirement was kinda talking about [whether] I wanna go back and record my fifth album.”

There is at least one new song on the way. Minaj will appear on the song "Bad To You" with Ariana Grande and Normani from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack.
