Afro B sets London ablaze in the “Mad Mad Mad (Fiyah Dance) video

The latest cut from the South London-born artist’s Afrowave 3.

December 09, 2019

U.K. Afro-fusion fans might know South London-born Afro B as the host of Capital XTRA's primetime Afrobeats radio show, but he was an independent artist first, most notably breaking through in 2018 with the mammoth "Drogba (Joanna)." He released his latest album — Afrowave 3, named after the "fusion of hip-hop, dancehall and Afrobeat melodies" that he sets apart from U.K. Afrobeats — came out in the fall, and now he's premiering the video for one of the record's standout tracks. The strikingly choreographed clip for "Mad Mad Mad (Fiya Dance)" has Afro B and a team of dancers on a London estate. Speaking to The FADER via email, Afro B said: "What’s African music without dancing? The song is self explanatory from the title so it's time to get your shoes on and dance African style."
