After teasing her new solo record towards the end of 2019, Hayley Williams, lead singer of stalwart pop band Paramore and 2017 FADER cover star, has revealed new details about the project via some mysterious promotional avenues, as MTV News points out. Per posters pasted around the US bearing Williams’ face, as well as a cryptic new Instagram account, the project is called Petals For Armor, and will be officially launched on January 22nd. In addition, the Petals For Armor Instagram account has posted a teaser video featuring footage of nature and sounds of heavy breathing.
Williams announced her solo project last year with a plain Notes app screenshot that was enough to stoke massive hype amongst Paramore’s considerable fanbase. “I’m putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends I made something I’m going to call my own,” she wrote at the time, “It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.” Notably, the post was captioned with an emoji of flower petals.
