Christine and the Queens plays “People, I’ve been sad” on Colbert

Her second new version of the La vita nuova single since the start of lockdown.

Christine and the Queens was the musical guest on last night's stay-at-home Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She played the aptly titled "People, I've Been Sad" from March's La vita nuova EP. Watch her performance at the top of the page.

Chris has spent quarantine releasing a series of excellent live covers. Over the past few weeks the French singer has released versions of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold," The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and Travis Scott's "HIGHEST IN THE ROOM." The Colbert performance was her second home-recorded version of "People, I've Been Sad" since lockdown began.
