Taylor Swift performed at a country music award ceremony for the first time in seven years earlier this evening when she took to the stage at the socially-distanced Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. Resplendent in a sparkly red jumpsuit, Swift took the opportunity to debut “betty,” a fan-favorite from her surprise-released eighth album folklore, which was released to acclaim earlier this year. As per broadcast standards, Swift changed one of the song’s chorus lyrics from “tell me to go fuck myself” to “tell me to go straight to Hell.” Watch a snippet of the performance below.

folklore spent six week atop the Billboard 200 chart earlier this year, before being usurped by Big Sean’s Detroit 2 this past week. It debuted with 846,000 album equivalent units, giving Swift the largest debut of the year, besting Juice WRLD’s posthumous Legends Never Die. Read our review of folklore here.
