J-pop star has Hikaru Utada released her eighth studio album, BADモード, (BAD MODE). The record features three tracks produced by Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) and two produced by A.G. Cook, as well as three versions of Utada and Skrillex's Kingdom Hearts III theme song, "Face My Fears": the original Japanese version, an English translation, and an A.G. Cook remix.

BAD MODE also includes Utadu's March 2021 smash hit "One Last Kiss," and "Find Love," the new theme song for Japanese cosmetic brand SHISEIDO’s "POWER IS YOU" campaign, for which Utadu is a co-ambassador with Team USA soccer star Megan Rapinoe. The album dropped Wednesday, Utadu's birthday, alongside a live concert film of her recent sessions at London's Air Studios, available to stream for free on her website through the weekend.
