Today is the fifth anniversary of Process, the game-changing debut album from Sampha. Yes, you are old, but the good news is that to celebrate his album, Sampha has shared two songs that are probably new to you. "Answer" and "In-between and Overseas" were included in the Japanese edition of Process and have never been officially released outside of the country until today.

Listening to the two tracks now, it speaks to the album's durability how few artists were able to rebottle Sampha's confluence of soulful melodies and experimentation. "Answer" is an energetic piece, with synth trailing across speaker channels like lights on a highway over a restless beat and glowing chords. On "In-between and Overseas," Sampha sits behind his trusty piano and lets loose a gorgeous, psychedelic ballad set to the beat of a dusty Casio drum loop. Hear them both below.

Since releasing the Mercury Prize-winning Process, Sampha has mostly stuck to collaborations with artists like serpentwithfeet, Actress, Mustafa, and Richard Russel a.k.a. Everything Is Recorded. A new solo song "Treasure" appeared on the soundtrack for the film Beautiful Boy. While we patiently wait for that second album, revisit Process from The FADER cover star in full below.
