Drake has dropped his seventh solo studio album, Honestly, Nevermind. Its arrival comes just six hours after the Toronto rapper announced its release in a Thursday evening Instagram post. He took a similar though less extreme approach to the promotion of his last project, September 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, officially announcing it four days before it came out. This time, however, he decided to forego the press cycle entirely, keeping the news tight to his chest until nearly the last minute.
The new LP comprises 14 tracks and has a hefty 52-minute run time. The record’s only listed featured artist is 21 Savage, who appears on closing track “Jimmy Cooks.” Adding to the album’s mystique is its Apple Music bio, which appears to be a poem penned by Drake, dedicated to Virgil Abloh.
Certified Lover Boy was a blockbuster commercial success, beating out Ye’s Donda for the highest first-week sales of the year at the time. Since then, he’s released several cinematic music videos, played a massive Larry Hoover benefit concert with his one-time nemesis, and was revealed as a potential pick to join the DC Universe as Cyborg.

I know if it was a dark night where all the odds were against my side & my skill went to whoever took my life they’d done me off with a big smile & maybe evn post it for some likes
I know everyone that tells me they love me doesn’t love me all the time especially when im doing better than alright & they have to watch it from whatever point they at in their life
I got here being realistic
I didn’t get here being blind
I know whats what and especially what and who is by my side
