JID and Smino have announced a co-headlining 2023 North American tour. Dubbed “Luv is 4Ever” (a fusion of the titles of the two rappers’ 2022 albums), the 32-date run is set to break ground on January 22 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, stopping in 21 states and three Canadian provinces before the dust settles on March 29 at Marathon Music Works in Nashville. Tickets go on sale this Friday (October 14) at 10 a.m. local time via LuvIs4Ever.com.

JID — the Atlanta-born, -bred, and -based emcee at the forefront of the retro-sounding, forward-thinking rap group Spillage Village — released his third LP, The Forever Story, in August and performed songs from across his brief but fruitful solo career with help from an eight-piece backing band at NPR’s Tiny Desk studio the following month. Smino — born and raised in St. Louis but based in Chicago for most of his adult life — recently announced his own third studio album, Luv 4 Rent, with its J. Cole-featuring lead single, “90 Proof.” That record is due out October 28.

JID and Smino have collaborated previously on 2020’s “Baguetti” (produced by Kenny Beats) and both appear on the 2019 Dreamville posse cut “1993” alongside J. Cole, Cozz, EarthGang, and Buddy, from the label compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III: Director’s Cut.
