Jin of BTS has released new solo single “The Astronaut” today. The single arrives alongside a video in which the K-pop star plays an astronaut who accidentally lands back on Earth. Check it out below.
"The Astronaut" was written by Jin alongside Coldplay and marks the second collaboration between the British band and their Korean counterparts following "My Universe," released last year. Jin will appear at Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres Toyr date in Argentina to perform his new song live for the first time.
In June BTS released its latest anthology album, Proof. Earlier this month it was reported that the group's members are "taking steps" to fulfill their mandatory military service obligations in South Korea. BTS were previously denied an exemption in 2019 with their staggered enlistment meaning the group may not reunite until 2025.
