Jorja Smith returns with “Try Me”

The R&B singer’s latest track is out via FAMM, her own independent label.

English R&B singer Jorja Smith has taken her time with her follow-up to her 2018 debut Lost & Found, sharing the stopgap project Be Right Back in 2021 and the Joy Orbison collab "Rose Rouge" in 2022. The wait may be finally ending: on Thursday (April 13), Smith shared "Try Me," her first new song of the year and the debut track released on her new label FAMM.

In the video, streaming below, Smith takes a gladiatorial role in a sandy stadium against an interpretive dancer. Truly the noblest of all battles. “I like this world that I've just come into. And I’m still figuring things out. Always figuring things out," Smith says in a press statement. “This is the first time I’m putting stuff out there that I can connect with right now.” Watch below.
