Burial has new music on the way. The reclusive British producer, whose official releases have all come through Hyperdub up to this point, will share the two-track single “Dreamfear / Boy Sent From Above” via XL Recordings on February 9, the label announced Thursday. The announcement was preceded by a limited release of 500 promotional copies of the single’s 12” vinyl edition to select record stores around the globe.
“Dreamfear / Boy Sent From Above” is available for digital and physical pre-sale now via Bandcamp or XL’s website, where merch from the release is also available. See the project’s cover art below.

Since the release of his first (and only) two studio LPs in the mid aughts, Burial has maintained a steady stream of shorter-form releases, many of which are collected in his compilation album Tunes 2011-2019. He followed up his two 2022 EPs, Antidawn and Streetlands, with “Unknown Summer” — half of a split EP with Hyperdub founder Kode9 — this past July.
