Charli xcx is leaning into a culturally omnivorous ethos on her new album, set for release on July 24, 2026.
Today, the British multi-hyphenate announced her highly anticipated next project's title, Music, Fashion, Film. Its cover, also revealed today, features three GOATS of their respective forms: John Cale (music), Marc Jacobs (fashion), and Martin Scorsese (film), respectively. It was shot by The Moment director, Aidan Zamiri.
Charli xcx has already released two songs from the coming project, which, notably, match the first two mediums named in the album title: “Rock Music” (music) and “SS26” (fashion). She’s already begun teasing her next song on TikTok, which, if the past is a predictor, may very well have a filmic angle.
The experimental pop star has publicly explored her interest in other mediums in recent years. She’s a YSL Beauty ambassador and has been flexing her cinephile and acting chops, starring in the Brat-era mockumentary, The Moment, and acting in Peter Ohs’s Warsaw-set romantic tragedy, Erupcja. She’s also created consistent internet fodder via her very active Letterboxd account with viral reviews for the likes of Marty Supreme and Uptown Girls.
