Listen to HAAi’s FADER Mix, recorded live at Maiden Voyage

It’s 100% HAAi’s original production.

October 15, 2026

HAAi's Maiden Voyage set from this August was a landmark mix for the Australian electronic stalwart. It's composed solely of her own production.

The master selector and producer had never done a mix featuring exclusively her own tracks. "It felt like such an important step for me as an artist and really felt like the perfect place to debut this as a concept," HAAi tells The FADER. "I was on a scaffolding booth surrounded by about 3,000 ravers in a park in the middle of London. It was truly the highlight of the summer for me and I’m so happy we documented the whole thing."

Premiering today, October 15, as a FADER Mix, HAAi's set is as ferocious as it is uplifting. It's another musical show of force following the October 9 release of her new album DIGITiSE, which continues her strong trajectory coming off a major 2025 when she released her album HUMANiSE. The mix, executed on a scaffolded stage amidst a dense throng of dancers, radiates with the electricity of a live festival set. In the recording, one can hear cheers and screams as HAAi propels the crowd forward with heaps of bass and kinetic production.

The FADER: What led you to start DJing?
HAAi: I used to play in shoegaze bands back in Australia. We moved to the UK and were touring for a couple of years. I had been collecting records for years during this period of my life but never had any turntables. When the band ended I got a job working on a bar in Dalston that had a pair of 1210’s. There was this guy who was kind of a resident guest DJ there called DJ Fitz — a proper legend for anyone who knows. He had one of the most incredible vinyl collections — Turkish funk, psych, and loads of super rare percussive records. I was also collecting these kinds of records (very much at the beginning of my digging journey at that time) but was really inspired by him and how encouraging he was for me to start playing them out. We used to chat loads about it and I truly feel like he was such a key part of why I started playing.

What DJs or artists inspire you?
DJs that really inspire me would be Eris Drew and Octo Octa, Shanti Celeste and the whole SASS crew, Wata Igarashi, DJ Masda, DJ Nobu, DJrum, Ogazon, Upsammy. I love playing B2B with DJ Tennis and Young Marco. The list is far too long, so I’ll stop there!

How has your local scene shaped your mixing and curation?
Because of the way I came up as a DJ and artist, I was never really part of a scene. However, I would say that in recent years, playing more queer parties and festivals has definitely loosened me up a lot. As did the early parties I went to [like] ALFOS (A Love From Outer Space) which were Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnson. Their psychedelic, all-night-long sets definitely influenced how I play today.

What’s the most memorable set you’ve ever played?
The Aecadia stage at Glastonbury, a b2b set with KI/KI a couple of years ago. It was crazy. I think there were around 60,000 people there. It was truly one of the wildest experiences of my life and to share it with my friend KI/KI made it extra special.

What excites you about the future of nightlife?
There’s a real undercurrent of amazing artists and parties that are coming through. In London there are some incredible parties like Playbody, Club Are, and Tech Couture that because of their size (they’re only a few hundred capacity) aren’t relying on big headliners, so the music is super interesting and the crowd really reflects that.

In an era where we’ve really regressed in terms of what is dominating dance music (bro house), I’ve seen a real culture of [artists] getting really big and then pulling up the ladder behind them. These more underground parties nurture so many emerging talents and that’s what makes me really excited. I think anyone who came up with the need for a community around them to feel safe or seen tends to bring these people up in the same way.

How would you describe your FADER mix?
The mix is 100% of my own production and was recorded live from Maiden Voyage festival in London. It’s the first time I’ve ever done a 100% HAAi set. I rarely play my own music when I DJ, which is something I’m working on changing. This was a big step in that direction. I reworked a lot of my older tracks which was super nice. The whole process was super fun and quite nostalgic at times. I was pretty emotional watching the footage back. Like me, the mix is pretty hyperactive.

Describe your surroundings while you made the mix?
It was live from Maiden Voyage on a stage designed by one of my favorite parties in London called Playbody. I’m working with them on the set design/production here in London. Joel Saldeck who is the mastermind behind the builds is so clever and cares so much for immersive production and design.
