A couple issues ago, we spotlighted Delroy Edwards' LA Club Resource in a round-up of labels to keep your eye on in 2014. Over the phone, Edwards described it to us as a home for bedroom house producers coming up on the West Coast, but like L.I.E.S., with which the Los Angeles-based producer is also affiliated, LA Club Resource is seeming more and more like a catch-all for demented-sounding party tracks. As a case in point, here's a slab of minimalist brutality from Edwards' alter ego DJ Punisher, combining an uninterrupted wall of noise with the cards-close-the-chest simplicity of a four-on-the-floor beat. It's a track from an untitled DJ Punisher 12-inch the label is describing as "extra-raw DJ tool for club play, not for the faint of heart," and that's available via Genes Liquor starting today.
