At the tail end of last year Brooklyn DJ Kitty Cash dropped Love The Free, a compilation of cuts from emerging R&B artists from a then-bubbling scene of singers and producers. She was suited to lead the charge: the young Trini DJ has gained a name over the past year, spinning for Kilo Kish and spending gigs playing sweaty R&B instead of tired trap tropes. Today Cash launches the second installment of her series with "Moodring," a drifty, layered ballad where TDE-signee SZA tests out a slight British accent. Producer Felix Snow was behind much of SZA's early work, and the duo mesh here fluidly. Cash's Love The Free II drops July 22nd, and will feature contributions from Dev Hynes, Yuna, Empress Of, Bipolar Sunshine and more.
