FADER PREMIERE

The music of London producer Ikonika never fails to give me skin prickles. She slices and dices sound with the sure gaze of a surgeon, constructing tracks that scratch at the serotonin-producing bits of the body and have a deep understanding of the shape-shifting nature of the UK dancefloor. Following 2013's Aerotropolis—Ikonika's second album after her breakthrough debut, Contact, Love, Want, Have, in 2010—she's back with a new EP titled Position, due out August 25th on Hyperdub. "Praxis" finds her in a contemplative zone, its central melody flexing through dappled plains to reach its target: it's subtle but the elevation is very real. Peep her upcoming DJ dates below.

Tour dates:
08.02: DJ Set @ L'Estrany Festival w/ Drums of Death, Illum Sphere, Johannes Volk, Wooky, XTRNGR, Lost Twin + Telenoika (Banyoles, Spain)
08.23: DJ Set @ Tauron Nowa Muzyka (Katowice, Poland)
09.13: DJ Set @ 10 Years of Hyperdub @ Supercrawl w/ DJ Spinn, Kode9, Scratcha DVA, Jessy Lanza + Fourtet (Hamilton, Canada)*
