19-Year-Old Producer Mura Masa Teams With Shura On “Love For That”

The Londoners get dreamy in the club together.

An eerie, deep voice says they want to see your lighters halfway through Mura Masa and Shura's "Love For That"—and it sure has the dewy-eyed feeling of that mid-set moment when you raise your arms and turn to the person next to you in the crowd. The 19-year-old London-based producer made his name with sleepy bangers for the likes of Soulection, but with leftfield popstar (and Gen F alum) Shura on vocal duties and a fleshy string section, he's made his most moving track yet. "'Love For That' is a sort of lament on falling in and staying in love for the wrong reasons," Mura Masa told The FADER over email. "Shura is so easy to work with: we just sat in her room for hours chain-smoking and talking about all sorts of things, and somehow this is the track that came out of it. It's the first single from the album I'm working on, and I hope it sets a really nice tone for what's to come." Listen below.
