Jamila Woods Shares A New Video For Her Self-Affirming Anthem “Holy”

The Chicago artist’s HEAVN album is being rereleased physically and digitally via Jagjaguwar.

Jamila Woods's debut album HEAVN, released in July 2016, was a stunning ode to her city. "HEAVN is about black girlhood, about Chicago, about the people we miss who have gone on to prepare a place for us somewhere else, about the city/world we aspire to live in," she said of the project at the time of its release.

The album, which was initially available solely on SoundCloud, is getting a physical and digital rerelease through Jagjaguwar and Closed Sessions. To celebrate the news, Woods has shared a new video for "Holy," directed by Brown Girls co-creator Sam Bailey. Watch the new clip above.
