Black Dresses share a gnarled cover of 100 Gecs’ “800db cloud”

A 90-second blast.

Toronto experimental duo Black Dresses have followed up the release of last month's Peaceful as Hell LP with a quick-hit cover of 100 Gecs' "800db Cloud." The Black Dresses version is called "888db Cloud," and it's every bit as odd as the original. Its 90 seconds are mostly full of screams and thrashes, with no space for the original's melody. Listen to the song at the top of the page.

100 gecs released their self-titled debut last year, and a planned remix collection called 1000 gecs & th3 phant0m m3nac3 is set to be released this year. There's no official release date for the album yet, but four songs have already been released: A.G. Cook's "Money Machine," Injury Reserve's "745 sticky," Dorian Electra's "gec 2 Ü," and a Charli XCX- and Rico Nasty-featuring "Ringtone."
