Because it wouldn't feel appropriate for most of us in the current frigid, snowy Northern Hemisphere to listen to the sun-faded punk of Wavves' summer 2010 album King of the Beach, he has created this new song for an EP with "close friend" Best Coast for the Summer Forever EP. It's notes of psychic mania and desperate pleading fit nicely into our current hibernatory frame of mind, eg talking to dogs and thinking that the refrigerator is moving itself slowly across the room while we sleep. Thanks for the company, dude.
