Video: No Age, “Inflorescence” (Dir. by Todd Cole)

September 19, 2011

FADER photographer Todd Cole, maker of beautiful images as well as confusing/museum-touring films for Rodarte, teamed up with No Age to make this mini-saga. The pairing was arranged by great arts patron Levi's to commemorate the closing of their LA Film Workshop, a temporary production facility bunked inside MOCA Los Angeles during their recent blockbuster Art in the Streets exhibit. In the video, a band of bear vaquero's dance in a break room, after hours, while "Inflorescence," a big atmospheric track from last year's Everything In Between blows out the background. The kissing cowboys then proceed to sail through the exhibit straight into a real live No Age party and take the stage. To the waltz of Dean's drums, the band leader sings something they say I'm asleep, something bring me here. It's like the middle of a great wedding that we only wish we could see the end of.
