With the exception of a few loosies—collaborations with Jeremih and Future Brown, an Aaliyah cover, “Rachet Commandments,” and “I Like”—FADER cover star Tink has mostly been quiet since winter 2014, when she released Winter’s Diary 2. This morning she released the sequel to that project. Though Tink’s a fierce rapper, she focuses more on her impressive singing here: “H20” and “There’s Somebody Else” are some of the loveliest songs she’s every released. There are plenty of ‘90s R&B influences of course, and also hints of great ‘80s pop on the album’s final track, “Afterparty.” Timbaland—who served as the singer's hype-man at the FADER FORT—shows up to produce one track, “L.E.A.S.H.,” which has one of the most bone-rattling beats on the project.
