Today, the family of Phife Dawg hosted the unveiling ceremony for the renamed portion of Linden Boulevard at 192nd Street in Queens, which is now officially Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor Way. In fan footage, ATCQ fans can be seen chanting Phife's name in anticipation for the new street sign. View below.

In an earlier statement, Phife's wife Deisha Head Taylor explained that the location was very dear to her husband's heart. "This is a perfect representation of who Malik was, and what Queens meant to him," Taylor explains. "Whenever he mentioned Queens, Linden Boulevard at 192, was a focal point of reference, so I am certain he would be pleased with having it renamed in his honor."
