Why should I listen?
If you just love a fucking good ass R&B song, Kyle Dion’s your guy. The first time I listened to “Brown,” somehow, my elbows weren’t ashy anymore. I apologize in advance for this metaphor, but I think if cocoa butter was a song, it would sound like this. “Brown” could have been released in the ‘90s or the ‘00s; it has a timeless groove that you and your mom could bop to.
On “Cool Side Of The Pillow,” the South Florida-native flows through the acoustic-tinged track with lustrous falsettos. Add it to that playlist — you know what I’m talkin’ about.
Lastly, this has nothing to do with the sound of his music, but his taste in headbands, button-ups, and leather jackets is noteworthy.
