Over the past month or so, we've had the chance to hear many sides of Charlie Puth. On "I Warned Myself," he got steely. On "Mother," he got cheeky. But here's the thing: Charlie's arguably at his best when he's really going through it, and luckily for us, that's what he's giving the Puthers on his newest single, "Cheating on You," a velvety late-'90s callback that spins his remorse into a cascading hook. He's also sharing a Tyler Yee-directed video for the track, which captures him sulking all over New York City on some Nick Lachey vibes. It's kind of histrionic and extremely enjoyable.
