Fans eagerly awaiting the release of The 1975’s new record Notes On A Conditional Form will have to hold their breath a little longer: As CoS points out, band frontman Matty Healy announced that the follow-up to 2018’s A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships will be released in April, rather than February during an address to fans on Instagram Live. Explaining that the band is “really proud” of the album, Matty told fans: “It takes, like, three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April. Sorry if that’s annoying or whatever… for the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of things, [the delay] doesn’t really make any difference.” Regardless, the release campaign for NOACF is still going full-steam ahead: a new single from the record, titled “Me and You Together Song” will premiere this Thursday on BBC Radio 1.
