Nigerian Afropop star WizKid has shared a video for "Mood," a collaboration with Buju from the deluxe edition of Made in Lagos. The video was directed by Kuukua Eshun, who also directed the Made in Lagos short film which provided visuals for three tracks from the album's deluxe ("Anoti," "Mood," and "Steady"). As WizKid floats over the loose groove of the beat, he whispers tongue-in-cheek, flirty bars about sex while Buju croons about how liquor and girls keep him stress-free. Check out the video below.
Last year, WizKid's "Essence" made history peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first Nigerian song to crack the Top 10 of the Hot 100 and his first song as a lead artist to make its way onthe charts. "Essence" would also become Tems' first-ever Hot 100 entry. WizKid is up for two awards at the postponed 2022 Grammy Awards: Best Global Music Performance for "Essence," and Best Global Music Album for Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition.
