A statement has been published on Taylor Swift‘s website advising fans on how to take care of her latest merchandise following complaints from fans over the quality of the items. Rolling Stone and Billboard report of fans complaining that merch from the new tour, currently making its way across North America, has faded significantly after washing to the point that images of the singer are no longer visible.

The message responding to these complaints, posted on the Taylor Swift website on Monday, reads: "Due to the particular ink curing process used on certain Tour Collection products, after washing your merchandise you may see a faint fade on the product print. This slight fade is related to the product’s distressed, vintage look. Please also note it is important to follow product care instructions as listed on the product label when washing and drying your items, to best protect and maintain the product’s look and feel."

Fans are advised to contact the Universal Music store if they noticed “any dramatic loss of pigment or ink bleeding” on their purchases with replacement items available.

Kickback against the quality of merchandise follows larger scale complaints from fans attempting to purchase tickets to Swift's tour. The controversy surrounding the Eras tour’s ticketing fiasco has led to lawsuits, a senate hearing, and public discussion of an ongoing Department of Justice antitrust investigation into Ticketmaster’s merger with Live Nation.
