Mach-Hommy shares previously unavailable track “No Golden Calf” to streaming

To hear the song previously via official channels, one would need to purchase a physical four-EP set of vinyl test pressings online for north of $4,000, or take a chance on a collectible “foil pack.”

Mach-Hommy has added “No Golden Calf” (feat. Tha God Fahim) — a song that was previously only available on wax, tape, or disc — to streaming. Initially released on his Dump Gawd: Triz 9 EP (produced by Fahim) on 10-inch vinyl, casette, and CD with limited digital downloads, the track was (until now) purchasable via official channels only as part of a four-EP set of test pressings, the Triz Saga, for $4,444.44 plus shipping, or by collecting it in any of the three formats as part of a “foil pack,” sold Pokémon style with no guarantee which of the four records the purchaser would receive.

Now available on the major digital streaming platforms, “No Golden Calf” is an exercise in traded fours between Mach and Fahim, delivered over a sleek, sax-forward beat that makes the whole affair feel like a breezy summer night — tinged with the same reflective sadness such an occasion can bring.
